How we build the library
Useful references.
Clear limits.
Our research library is an editorial resource from East Coast Labs, a supplier of laboratory research materials. Our commercial role is disclosed so you can assess the content in context.
Start with the original work
Profiles link to selected primary publications and identify the type of experiment. We distinguish cell, animal, human and analytical research, including when a study uses a different formulation or a related molecule. Selected references are a starting point, not a systematic review.
Keep findings within their scope
We describe what a study examined and explain relevant limitations. Evidence about one molecule, formulation or blend is not automatically evidence for another. Clinical publications do not validate ECL material. We do not provide medical, dosing or administration guidance.
Separate research from supply records
Research articles describe published experiments. Certificates describe tested samples. Product specifications describe the selected supply. Each has its own source and scope; a citation does not substitute for a lot-specific certificate.
Make ownership and dates visible
Each reference identifies ECL editorial ownership and its update date. The current library is not independently peer reviewed. If a qualified reviewer reviews a specific article, we will identify that person, the scope of review and the review date with their permission. We do not imply expert sign-off where it has not occurred.
Correct material errors
Send the page link, the statement in question and a supporting source to our team. We can investigate the reference, correct material errors and update the article date. Product or document questions are handled separately from scientific editorial corrections.
