1. About these terms
These terms apply to the East Coast Labs website and purchases made through it. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean East Coast Labs. Our current contact and business information is on the contact page.
Read these terms before confirming entry or placing an order. Selecting the entry agreement button confirms that you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the shopping features. You may still read our policies or contact us. If you act for an organisation, you must be authorised to do so.
2. Age and research-use requirements
You must be at least 18 years old to enter the storefront or purchase products. Our materials are supplied solely for legitimate laboratory research by people with the appropriate training, facilities and authority.
Products must not be used for human or animal consumption or administration, self-experimentation, medical treatment, diagnosis, veterinary applications or personal use. They are not supplied as medicines, supplements, food or cosmetics. Do not resupply them for any of these purposes.
You are responsible for lawful purchase, possession, handling, storage, use and disposal, and for keeping materials away from children and unauthorised users. A research-only label or your acknowledgement does not override the law, establish regulatory approval or remove our own legal responsibilities.
The entry check is your declaration of age and intended use. It does not verify your identity or professional qualifications. Remembering the declaration on your browser does not remove these requirements from future visits or orders.
3. Research information and documentation
Website articles, references and product information provide research context. We do not offer medical, veterinary, dosing or administration advice. Published research does not establish that a product is safe or effective for personal use, or guarantee a particular research result.
Check the selected product, size, pack quantity, specifications and available documentation before ordering. A certificate describes the sample, batch and tests identified in that document. It does not establish a connection to your shipment unless we explicitly confirm that connection. An unavailable certificate is not a verified test result. Contact us if documentation is unclear.
4. Orders, prices and payment
Prices are shown in Australian dollars. Checkout confirms current prices, stock, discounts, shipping and the order total. Review the final quote and any changes before submitting your order. Available payment methods and instructions are shown during checkout and on your private payment page.
Creating an order records your request and does not mean payment has cleared or the order has shipped. Preparation begins after payment confirmation. Follow the payment reference and expiry instructions for your order. Contact us before paying an expired order or sending a duplicate payment.
We may decline or cancel an order if supply would be unlawful, the research-use requirements are not met, payment cannot be confirmed, or an item cannot be supplied. If an error changes the proposed price or product, we will contact you before proceeding on the changed basis. If we cancel a paid order, we will arrange repayment of the affected amount.
Discounts, rewards and promotions are subject to the offer displayed at the time. Gift eligibility depends on current stock and the goods total after discounts. A zero gift threshold still requires a paid purchase. Included bundle components are shown separately from spend-based gifts.
5. Delivery, cancellations and returns
Provide an accurate delivery address and contact us promptly about any correction. Dispatch and delivery estimates are explained in our shipping information. Contact us as soon as possible to request a cancellation or change; what can be arranged depends on payment and shipment status.
For damaged, incorrect, missing or otherwise unsuitable goods, follow our returns and order support policy. Keep relevant packaging and contact us before returning research materials so that we can provide appropriate instructions. Our request to report a problem promptly does not create a short deadline that removes your statutory rights.
6. Accounts, private links and acceptable use
Keep account and delivery information accurate. Protect sign-in codes and private order, payment, recovery and review links; anyone with a valid private link may be able to access the information it authorises. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
Do not impersonate someone else, submit misleading information, access another person’s records without authority, interfere with the website or use it unlawfully. We may restrict access where reasonably needed to address misuse or protect the service.
7. Content, reviews and privacy
Respect intellectual property in our brand, images and website content, and in third-party materials. Linking to a research publication does not transfer rights in that publication. Obtain permission before reproducing protected material except where the law allows its use.
Customer feedback is handled under our review policy. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and your browser preferences. Accepting these terms does not subscribe you to marketing or grant optional analytics consent. Creator, partner and rewards programmes may have additional terms presented when you participate.
8. Consumer rights and responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right, remedy, guarantee or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights. Where those guarantees apply, the remedy depends on the nature of the problem and may include repair, replacement, refund or compensation.
You remain responsible for your own unlawful use or mishandling of materials. This does not make you responsible for our conduct or remove our liability where the law makes us responsible. See the ACCC guidance on consumer guarantees.
9. Changes and questions
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above identifies this version. Updated terms apply to future use and orders; they do not retrospectively change an existing order unless required by law or agreed with you. Material changes to the entry declaration or terms may require a new acknowledgement.
These terms operate subject to applicable Australian law. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue so far as the law allows. You can raise a concern with us without giving up any right to approach a regulator, tribunal or court.
